In addition, they have both earned the professional designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), which is held by approximately 5,400 professionals worldwide.

Elizabeth Hunter, MS, CFREElizabeth Holler Hunter, MS, CFRE is an award-winning journalist and a successful fundraiser with more than 22 years of full-time fundraising experience. As a consultant for 12 years, Elizabeth has worked with clients in North Carolina, the Southeast, and nationally. She has conducted million-dollar annual funds and has worked on capital campaigns ranging from $500,000 to $16 million. Her fundraising experience with volunteers includes CEOs of some of the largest companies in the nation. She has written more than 20 cases for support as well as brochures, annual reports and other publications.

Elizabeth's organizational work includes Board and administrative restructuring, capacity building and strategic planning and organizational development. Recently, as part of her consulting practice, she served as the Executive Director of a global communications foundation of The United Methodist Church. During her tenure the foundation raised funds to establish 14 centers of communication across Africa and established a partnership with The United Nations Foundation, which led to the initiation of a denomination-wide campaign targeted to raise $75 million to support global health. She has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development/Organization Development from Western Carolina University and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Elizabeth and DiodoraElizabeth is deeply committed to the people and causes served by nonprofit organizations and she carries a particular passion for work that advances the well-being of women and children.  A variety of life experiences serve as the foundation for her work, including participating in a month-long Outward Bound course, working internationally, covering the war in Bosnia and serving as a full-time volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for three years. She is an active volunteer and is the immediate past president and a current member of the Board of Directors for the Lake Eden Arts Festival in Black Mountain, which offers arts programming in schools, community centers, government housing projects and internationally.

Angela Kemper, MA, CFREAngela Kemper, MA, CFRE, is a successful fundraiser, trainer, and consultant with expertise in strategic communication that has generated results in non-profit and corporate organizations for more than 22 years. She has held executive positions for fundraising and membership programs that have led to successful multi-million dollar capital campaigns, double-digit increases in annual campaigns, special events and membership growth, and renewed and realigned boards.

Angela’s expertise includes strategic fundraising, infrastructure development, and volunteer deployment. She facilitates Board Retreats, Strategic Planning Sessions and large-scale community meetings. She conducts workshops and teaches fundraising courses. Additionally, she works with clients to develop business plans and strategic plans.

Previously, Angela taught Strategic Communication for the MBA program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University for four years. She is a published author and has a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently serves on the Strategic Planning Committee and Community Fund for the United Way of Asheville-Buncombe County and on the Advisory Committee for Western North Carolina Nonprofit Pathways. She has also served on the Boards of Directors for the Western North Carolina Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, and the National Association for Membership Development.

The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is held by approximately 5,400 development professionals worldwide. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have demonstrated mastery of standards set by CFRE International, which include tenure in the profession, education, professional achievements and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. Those who have achieved this designation have passed a written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive. Additionally, as members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, HunterKemper Consulting is committed to upholding the Fundraising Code of Ethics and the Donor Bill of Rights.
